Behind the Scenes with Skvaller: Music, Art, Writing, and Big Moves
Hello, dear readers and supporters!
This is a moment I’ve been building toward for a while, and I’m thrilled to share it with you. If you’ve been following my journey as a musician, artist, author, and even technician (yes, I wear a lot of hats!), you know I’ve spent years creating, fine-tuning, and building projects I’m proud of. And now? It’s promotion time.
Promotion might sound like a technical, business-y thing, but honestly? It’s one of the most exciting phases of any creative’s life. This is the moment where I get to share everything I’ve poured my soul into, put it out there in the world, and say, “Look! I made this for you.”
What’s Happening in My World?
Let’s start with my creative projects:
- Music: As Skvaller, my sound is evolving constantly. Whether it’s the emotion in the melody or the beats that get you moving, my music tells stories—and I can’t wait for you to hear what I’ve been working on. If you haven’t checked out my tracks yet, now’s the perfect time. Stay tuned for more releases and maybe even some live sessions soon. (Spoiler: There’s a remix coming that I’m super excited about!)
- Writing: My book, Critics, has been making waves, sparking conversations about how we process opinions and truth. And to complement it, I recently launched Youzine.se, a tool designed to help people access news, think critically, and build their own informed views. It’s like a match made in heaven: a book about questioning what you’re told, and a platform that helps you do exactly that.
- Art: Creativity spills out of me in more than just words and sounds. My art continues to grow, with new designs, fresh ideas, and maybe even a few collaborations on the horizon.
The Big Push: Advertising and Owning My Space
Here’s the honest truth: as an independent artist, you don’t just create—you hustle. That’s why I’ve started advertising, putting my work in front of the eyes and ears that need to see and hear it.
Advertising feels a little like standing on a stage and saying, “Hey world, I belong here.” At first, it can be nerve-wracking—you wonder, Will people like what I’m offering? But then you realize something: the world is full of noise, and if you don’t make yourself heard, no one will notice you’re there.
So, I’m stepping into this phase with confidence. Fake it till you make it, right? I’m embracing the role of the “star” my daughter says I should claim, even if it feels a little funny to call myself one. After all, she’s right—if I assume I’m allowed to take up space, I will. And if I’m not? Well, someone can try to stop me, but by then, I’ll already be ahead.
Why This Matters to Me (And You)
Promoting isn’t just about getting attention; it’s about connection. Every note I write, every word I publish, and every brushstroke I create is a way of reaching out to people like you—those who resonate with creativity, honesty, and curiosity.
So as I step into this promotional phase, it’s not just about putting my work out there—it’s about inviting you to join me on this journey. Whether you’re a music lover, a bookworm, an art enthusiast, or just someone looking for something real in the chaos of the world, I hope you’ll find something here that speaks to you.
How You Can Support This Journey
If you’ve made it this far, you’re already supporting me—thank you for that! But if you’d like to do more, here’s how you can help keep the momentum going:
- Listen to my music. Stream it, share it, and let me know what you think.
- Check out my book and Youzine.se. They’re tools for questioning the world, and I’d love to hear how they resonate with you.
- Share my work. A simple share or recommendation can make all the difference.
- Reach out. I love hearing from you—your feedback, your ideas, your support.
Let’s Keep Building This Together
Every artist dreams of a moment where their work connects with the right audience. I believe this is one of those moments for me. Thank you for being part of it, for listening, reading, watching, and supporting.
And remember: no matter what stage you’re in—whether you’re creating, sharing, or just dreaming—you’re allowed to take up space. You’re allowed to own your voice. You’re allowed to say, “I’m here, and this matters.”
Let’s keep making things that matter. Together.
—Skvaller
